About us

A fantastic family Pub

serving good food & drink in good company

The Vine is a traditional pub, which is located in the heart of the local community. The historic building was once an old brewery and the pub now offers a friendly village atmosphere.

The pub boasts a spacious bar, with a separate dining area famous for its Haddock & Chips and homemade ice cream. Our excellent home cooked food, using fresh local produce, together with a variety of great ales, means this pub offers something for everyone.

At the rear of the pub is a lovely garden with a children’s play area for under fives, offering the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet drink in the summer months.

The pub offers great entertainment throughout the week including an extensive variety of live bands.

We are open all day with food served lunchtime and evenings, except Sundays where we serve from 12 noon until 4pm (unless otherwise stated).

At the rear is a private car park for patrons use.

Opening times for drinks:
Monday -Thursday 11am -3pm, 6pm – 11pm.
Friday & Saturday 11am – 12am
Sundays 12pm – 11pm

Our Beer & Ales

We have an extensive range of real ales supplied by the the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery.

Tanglefoot :
A traditional premium ale, light golden in colour. Noticeable floral dry hop aroma balanced with biscuity and fruity notes. Full bodied with a medium bitterness and a rounded, smooth, hoppy flavour. Hints of melon and pear. A clean finish with some hoppy linger.

First Call :
A classic country ale from Dorset using a single English hop for purity and character. Lauded for its well balanced bitterness, with hints of orange and spice, First Call gives this classic Badger ale its clean, fresh, distinctive taste. Badger First Call is perfect with traditional English roasts and pies.

Sussex :
A 3.5% ABV cask beer, originally brewed by King and Barnes. A typical Country Bitter with a clean hoppy taste.
